I think that would count as a double wickstretcher rather than a growing spaceship, for which the ends should be moving in the same direction (with the tail slower than the head). But still, a nice find!

From the 5S project. The full collection is available on Google Drive.

There are a lot of unique ships with minimum population phase of 3 cells, which collectively have a very wide range of different speeds. For nearly all c/N, 2c/N 3c/N and 4c/N with N<=50, the smallest known ship has minimum population of 3 cells, and the same is true for many speeds with N up to 100.
The 5S project (Smallest Spaceships Supporting Specific Speeds) is now maintained by AforAmpere. The latest collection is hosted on GitHub and contains well over 1,000,000 spaceships.

There are a lot of unique ships with minimum population phase of 3 cells, which collectively have a very wide range of different speeds. For nearly all c/N, 2c/N 3c/N and 4c/N with N<=50, the smallest known ship has minimum population of 3 cells, and the same is true for many speeds with N up to 100.
Well, bounding box-wise mine is smaller.

This was found with LLS, as were lots of similar ships with similar limitations, and they all have this general appearance.
Also it's a B1e rule so it won't have much else of note.

Nice! :) I'd been wondering whether any ships could exist with those constraints, so it's nice to see that they do.

The first of those rules is explosive, but the second isn't, so it should be apgsearchable and could have other interesting patterns as well.

EDIT: A variant of the second ship's rule has a natural (3,1)c/9 ship that only differs slightly from the (1,1)c/5 ship:

Found with LLS in about 28 minutes (Exact time 1668.37912083 seconds)
The rule is not explosive too so we can apgluxe it although the ship won't be appearing anytime soon I think
