Here's another c/2 engine (p22, odd bilateral symmetry). On it's own it evolves into a p660 puffer.

It's made from a replicator that travels along the wire pulling some other pattern on the wire that would otherwise just decay away. No idea if anything can be converted to it or extracted from it without destroying the wire.

Yes, but not from the front - it only fails once the pattern reaches the ends, but otherwise it's indestructible. So if you drew the wall in a torus and/or made it infinitely long, it would work.

I've modified Catagolue to accept hauls as long as they *either* have 10k soups or 250k objects. Presumably this would make searching B3/S12-ae34ceit much easier?
What do you do with ill crystallographers? Take them to the mono-clinic!

Wow. I don't think that such a large ship has ever been found before in any rule with a period >8. This is exactly what I hoped ntzfind would find (apart from more ships in tlife), and it gives me hope that similar things exist in Life.
