Nice, but I think it is still a linear growth, just two bounding boxes have a sqrt-growth.
I am not sure if there is an easy way to get a sqrt-growth puffer.

Very interesting, but couldn't the rightmost reflector just be flipped to accept the other input that the leftmost reflector does? It is still cool either way.

Yes, it could if you are just interested in the timing, but the rightmost reflector changes the lane of the R/G. The left (new) reflector keeps the lane, whereas the rightmost one shifts it by 1.

Fantastic find! Reducing it a bit makes it the smallest R-gun known, at 16-cells compared to the tie between the one you just found and the double barreled version of AbhpzTa's 18-cell p15 R-gun. Here is my reduction:

I spent a bit compiling a list.

I made the p16, p21, p32 and p33 R-guns from the 3G syntheses and the p25+2n G->R, although that task was pretty trivial.

The missing guns from p15-p34 are p22(G+R), p23(G+R), p24(G+R), p25(G+R), p26(G+R), ]p28(G+R), p29(G+R), p31 (G+R)

EDIT (04/06/2018): Added p31 to the list and crossed off now known p24 and p28 guns. discoverer: 2718281828
EDIT (04/09/2018): Removed the p25 from the list, discoverer: me!

I reduced the size of the p21 R-gun, removed a p30 R-gun which was obviously larger than an other one. And I added p24 and p28 G/R-guns. Now it contains G/R-guns of all known periods up to 33.

I am still looking forward for the first log-growth (and afterwards sawtooth) pattern using the 2c/19 ship R-to-R reflector.
But I am struggling again with the timing. My idea is this:

Woah, awesome discoveries everybody! I think the splitters are especially cool.
As for why the sawtooth partial fails, I honestly don't know. If it helps, I have calculated the generations in which the R is in the position it's shown in the second pattern:

Entering just the first four numbers into Wolfram alpha gives all whole numbers (even after hitting more), as well as a different 5th number. But inputting all of them followed by a ... gives the two numbers after 85956 as decimals, as well as some negative numbers and fractions after you hit 'More'. I don't know if that helps in anyway, although I am not an expert in equations like this. Maybe (84420-49455=)34965 is the magic number and you just need to put the 2c/19s far away that the R reappears at that generation, although it would most likely be troubling to rephase it all. I tried to do it myself to no avail.
