Possibly, though it's a bit hard to tell as the behaviour is unusual and we only get to see the repeating unit (the group of four diamonds, which is what you were talking about, right?) about two times.

I'd like to look into some catalysts for this rule.

I've named one methuselah, the S. It stands for Pre-[S]huttle, because that's exactly what it is:

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 7, rule = B2en3ij4a5e7e8/S1c2cek3-a4aiqw5aky
2bo$3bo$bobo$2o2bo$bobo$3bo$2bo!
Once it hits around 100 generations it gets pretty hard to control cleanly, but before that it looks like it has a lot of potential.

Question: Is there a way to track which rockets in this rule appear the most frequently
S predecessor that might help in conduits and reflectors:

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 4, rule = B2en3ij4a5e7e8/S1c2cek3-a4aiqw5aky
2bo$bobo$2bo$o4bo!

It is made of a diamond predecessor and two sparks.
EDIT:
Pre-[R]eplicator:

Code: Select all

x=4,y=3,rule = B2en3ij4a5e7e8/S1c2cek3-a4aiqw5aky
b2o$o2bo$b2o!
R turns S into a c/4d!

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 23, rule = B2en3ij4a5e7e8/S1c2cek3-a4aiqw5aky
2bo$bobo$2bo$o4bo17$2b2o$bo2bo$2b2o!
R turns S into a glider!

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 25, rule = B2en3ij4a5e7e8/S1c2cek3-a4aiqw5aky
2bo$bobo$2bo$o4bo19$2b2o$bo2bo$2b2o!

Here is a growing spaceship based on dani's rake:

Code: Select all

x = 7, y = 92, rule = B2en3ij4a5e7e8/S1c2cek3-a4aiqw5aky
2bo$bobo$o3bo$o3bo$bobo$2bo24$5bo$4bobo$4bobo$5bo27$5bo$4bobo$4bobo$5b
o24$2bo$bobo$o3bo$o3bo$bobo$2bo!
It synthesizes replicators and stabilizes them at one end.
Not inactive any more! :D

A replicator like thing?

I guess...But stabilized by a rake at one end.

Not really. The rake works exactly like a single replicator.
