## Bubbles (B3ai4-a/S23)

### Bubbles (B3ai4-a/S23)

Bubbles is a rule I found, named because of this p21 oscillator:
`x = 5, y = 5, rule = B3ai4-a/S23b3o\$o3bo\$o3bo\$o3bo\$b3o!`

I named the oscillator the "Ehe" due to its apgcode.

The rule also has a 20c/64 puffer, a failed replicator:
`x = 5, y = 4, rule = B3ai4-a/S23b3o\$o3bo\$o3bo\$2bo!`

two natural 10c/32s made from the block puffer:
`x = 39, y = 43, rule = B3ai4-a/S2316b3o2b3o2b3o7bo\$15bo8bo10bobo\$15bo8bo9bobobo\$15bo8bo10bobo\$16b3o2b3o2b3o7bo4\$28bo4b2o\$21bo6bo4bobo\$20b2o6bo7bo\$19b3o8b4ob2o\$20b2o6bo7bo\$21bo6bo4bobo\$28bo4b2o16\$bo2bo4b3o2bo3bo\$o4bo7bo5bo\$o4bo6bo5b3o\$o4bo7bo5bo\$bo2bo4b3o2bo3bo5\$18b3o2b3o\$18bobo2bobo\$18b3o2b3o4b2o\$30b2o!`

Also, countless dirty puffers can be made by combinations of puffers.

I wonder if a quadratic growth pattern exists with some combination of puffers?

You had me confused for a bit there; I thought this thread was about the variant B3ai4-aq/S23, which has had a lot of discussion on the Discord recently.

In particular, that variant has a backrake similar to the puffer in this one:
`x = 5, y = 9, rule = B3ai4-aq/S23b3o\$o3bo\$o3bo\$2ob2o3\$2bo\$b3o\$obobo!`

EDIT: I propose calling this variant QBubbles.

qBubbles also has a natural 12c/42 based on the back take, along with the 10c/32, a 4c/8 glide symmetric, and a SUPER weird growing spaceship that's actually a backrake crystal with a 12c/4464 (!) backend, along with several 5c/16 puffers. All on apgsearch (the growing ship is zz_replicator).

There's also a 4c/14 beehive wickstretcher and some p16, p32, and p62 oscs (one p16 is 2G synth able)
