Cool c/3 diagonal puffer:

EDIT, variant with c/3d rake, spaceships, and a p58 oscillator that is quite common:

EDIT 2, another variant with a 19c/182 diagonal breeder!

A failed replicator, which ends up being a HUGE spark:

The puffers can interact in strange ways as well. For instance, here two puffers interact in a way that looks like it is stable/periodic, albeit very messy, and then all of a sudden CHAOS

That's a pretty cool Sierpinski builder:

Code: Select all

x = 13, y = 13, rule = B3-y6ac/S23-ckq5cy

LifeWiki: Like Wikipedia but with more spaceships. [citation needed]

B7/S1234
Two lines close to each other(1 cell apart) become monomino replicator tracks.
S5 is unnecessary, because it means influencing a cell 2 cells away.
Compilation of the smallest:

Code: Select all

x = 7, y = 19, rule = B7/S1234
4o$bo$4o2$6o$bo$6o2$6o$bo2bo$6o2$7o$2bo$7o2$7o$2bobo$7o!
P126:

Code: Select all

x = 14, y = 3, rule = B7/S1234
14o$bobobobobobo$14o!
B2c/S
Time crystals-not known to explode. Can spaceships or infinite growth exist? I don't think so. In fact, the time crystals sometimes have periods nearly impossible to measure. I can't get the period of this one or whatever it evolves into. Warning-Extremely large.
Similar crystals exist in B3/S5. To convert from B2c/S to B3/S5, for every original cell, add one south, one east, and one southeast.
▓░to▓▓
░░to▓▓
Now, because the B2c/S version is too large, and because Google Docx crashed when I tried to paste the RLE THERE and add a link, I will use the much smaller B3/S5 version.

Code: Select all

x = 1512, y = 960, rule = B3/S5

Alas, why does the RLE in the B2c/S version say "bo" so much?
By the way, it should be "unrecognized," not the way it was spelled in the title. My spellcheck verifies that this was a mistake, spelling it with an "s."

I was exploring b2x/S23(All exploded, but were interesting) and b3/S234x(A few didn't explode, all were interesting). I got a replicator that also makes chaos. On its own, it makes four puffers, but it can be set up to grow quadratically. By the way this thing is the very FUEL for growth!

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 2, rule = B34w/S23
o3bo$b3o!
A puffer that has something very special in its debris...

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 3, rule = B3/S234y
2bo$3o$bo!
By the way, it utilizes an R-pentomino to "false" B-heptomino to bookend cycle. It is also a surprising type of its kind.

The time crystal has been pasted, and is 242 pages long. Alas, why does it say "bo" so much?

Intricate patterns of gliders:

Code: Select all

ANTS!!!
For those who want to investigate the quadfuse and such stuff. LifeViewer can't run this, so I will leave it to others to post. To make an ant, you need to put state 3 cells on the leading edge of an ant. Then it will work.

Code: Select all

@RULE ANTS

This pattern is weird, does it follow any sequence?:

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 3, rule = B2-c/S2cin
2o2b2o2$2b2o!
I love this rule, there are three basic replicators;

Code: Select all

x = 2, y = 14, rule = B2-c/S2cin
o$o3$bo$o$o3$o$o2$o$o!
A p8 gun (although it shoots at p4):

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 4, rule = B2-c/S2cin
b2o$o2bo$o2bo$b2o!
And this weird, failed replicator:

Code: Select all

x = 2, y = 5, rule = B2-c/S2cin
o$o$bo$o$o!
Double wickstretcher:

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 2, rule = B2-c/S2cin
3o$3o!
p6:

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 3, rule = B2-c/S2cin
bo$obo$bo!
Another weird pattern:

Code: Select all

x = 9, y = 11, rule = B2-c/S2cin
b2o3b2o$3bobo2bo$o3bo$b3ob2obo$bo5bo3$5bo2bo3$6b2o!
p6 photon-with-tagalong rake:

Code: Select all

x = 9, y = 6, rule = B2-c/S2cin
b2o3b2o$o2bobo$4bo3bo3$3bo!
EDIT: What an affectionate spaceship:

Code: Select all

x = 7, y = 16, rule = B2-c/S2cin
3bo7$obobobo$bobobo2$2bobo$bobobo$bo3bo$obobobo$3bo$b2ob2o!

This rule is weird, it has a 2c/7, a 2c/13 and a 2c/15, all unusually small:

Code: Select all

x = 33, y = 7, rule = B34eqyz5-ek6k/S23
2bo10bo15bo2bo$b3o7bo3bo13bo2bo$b3o7bo3bo13bo2bo$11b5o$26b2o$2ob2o21b
2o$2ob2o!
I manage the 5S project, which collects all known spaceship speeds in Isotropic Non-totalistic rules. I also wrote EPE, a tool for searching in the INT rulespace.

Things to work on:
- Find (7,1)c/8 and 9c/10 ships in non-B0 INT.
- EPE improvements.

Can someone please tell me the hensel codes of this? I can't exactly wrap my head around them and the rule table download link is broken.

I think this is it:
B3/S2ae3aeijr4-ckqy

Code: Select all

x = 67, y = 11, rule = B3/S2ae3aeijr4-ckqy
2$3bo15b2o19bo16b2ob2o$2b2o12b5o18b2o15b3ob3o$b2o13bo39bo5bo$16b3o22b
3o$17b2o!
This is probably the second rule:

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 5, rule = B3/S2ae3aeijr4-cknqy
2bo$b2o$2o$bobo$b3o!

Here's a wacky rule:

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 5, rule = B35c678/S2ae3-kqry4acejnry678
2bo$b3o$5o$b3o$2bo!

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 5, rule = B35c678/S2ae3aceijn4acejnry678
2bo$4o$5o$4o$2bo!

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 6, rule = B35c678/S2ae3-kqry4acejnry678
2bo$4o$b4o$b4o$4o$2bo!
(This one stabilizes after a long time):

Code: Select all

x = 9, y = 5, rule = B35c678/S2ae3aceijn4acejnry678
6bo$2o2b4o$3ob5o$2o2b4o$6bo!

Similar crystals exist in B3/S5. To convert from B2c/S to B3/S5, for every original cell, add one south, one east, and one southeast.

Now, because the B2c/S version is too large, and because Google Docx crashed when I tried to paste the RLE THERE and add a link, I will use the much smaller B3/S5 version.

This type of structured pattern is much better represented (and run) in a hash format. Change the Golly algorithm to HashLife and then you can save the file in macrocell format. Here it is:

Code: Select all

RLE format is hopeless at compressing patterns with vertical lines or checkerboard patterns. Compare these three representations:

"-ised" is the UK English form of "-ized". Most spell checkers installed by default use US English, and therefor indicate the UK English spelling forms as errors. The same applies to neighborhood / neighbourhood; center / centre; license / licence; and catalog / catalogue (US version followed by UK version). In general most people are accepting of both spellings, but it is preferable to be consistent with usage. When publishing you may be expected to conform to usage of one or the other, depending on the publisher.
The 5S project (Smallest Spaceships Supporting Specific Speeds) is now maintained by AforAmpere. The latest collection is hosted on GitHub and contains well over 1,000,000 spaceships.

SERIOUSLY YOU'RE STILL POKING AROUND TOTALISTIC RULES! This is equivalent to me poking around semi-uncommon VHS tapes/cassettes/floppies. Tell me, why are you still doing this?

He(She?) can poke around any rule he wants! Please, don't be mad at him for this. Remember, non-totalistic rules are only recent creations, and he might not get the message yet!
