EDIT: I didnt see the second part of the question, sorry. We protect them via the planetary representatives. We can give them the things they need, such as speech scripts, poster files, etc. For now, we only protect creatures on planets with inhabitants, mainly because we simply cannot afford travelling to uninhabited planets and moons.

I do not know about the first one. I just joined the AAC this February 31st. Great so far. I made up the name Hinak and stuff so anything is purely coincidential.

It's probably just moving pointers around for copying, and only doing substantial writing when you paste. It obviously depends on whether you're copying/pasting things from/to hard drives/RAM/SSDs.
