I don't think this is worthy of being put on the QFT thread, but KittyTac's post got me thinking: would it be able to be 'played' by supplying a glider stream at generation 0, that triggers inputs regularly? Such a concept would be closer to TAS (tool assisted speedrun) than actually sitting down and playing the game, but it's certainly worth thinking about. This would make it possible to 'play' tetris without, as I like to call it, divine intervention. But just a little thought from a person with little actual QFT experience.
