I had a dream where I was late for a class, but since the teacher was talking about cellular automata, I already understood everything.

No, this forum actually works.

If this forum were Communist, you'd be forcibly banned from leaving (to stop you from going off with John GoLt) and be punished if you lapsed in your contributions to cellular automata. Those contributions wouldn't be attributed to you, but rather to members on the basis of their need (as determined by the moderators). Search programs would be banned (they're unfair to people with less computing power) so you'd be forced to find patterns manually. All glider guns would be seized by the state and used to oppress anyone who dares to change the rules (i.e. the entire Other Cellular Automata board). Voicing any disagreements would be met by indefinite incarceration in a GoLag where you spend every waking hour manually (yes, 1970s-style) simulating patterns.

Principle of B2-c/S0

(This is large amount of ntdsc-style text. What is saka oil?)

B2-c/S0 is quite interesting, even though it's not apgsearchable, because of this common useful simple 1D replicator:

Code: Select all

x = 2, y = 1, rule = B2-c/S0
2o!
Rep collide dot will create an "end":

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 2, rule = B2-c/S0
o2bo$o!
Put things after the B2a rep will create nasty breeder-like thing, usually.

Code: Select all

x = 3, y = 2, rule = B2-c/S0
b2o$o!
The temp-dot creating reaction is useful sometimes:

Code: Select all

x = 2, y = 4, rule = B2-c/S0
o$bo$o$o!
So we'll need a way to clean the upper dot to avoid it to explode.

EDIT:The reaction can use to generate "trippy things":

I search up "e" and get 2718 pages of results...

Because the search engine was searching the word "e", not the letter "e".

I already know that part. What's interesting is the amazing coincidence that the first three digits of e after the decimal point is 2.718 and the number of pages of results is 2718.

I think we can find a keyword that has 323(B3/S23) results...

You may embed only 3 quotes within each other.

In the up-to-date version, the rule reads
do not quote a quote of a quote of a quote
but Hunting is quoting a quote of a quote and a quote.

I am just so good that I memorized 250 digits of pi and understood infinite sums/products, integrals and the Riemann zeta function. XD
