LifeViewer "Movie" idea...

Post by Hunting » January 8th, 2019, 8:06 am

I'm thinking about using LifeViewer to make a "Movie".

Just like this, but should be longer:
(CREDIT: Redstoneboi)

Code: Select all

#C[[ PAUSE 3 "Synthplace: Oak (formerly Acorn)" STEP 15 ZOOM 8
#CT 3700 ZOOM 4 X -40 Y -35 "Synthday: Genuary 9, 3900"
#CT 3800 PAUSE 1 "*Record scratch*"
#CT 3909 ZOOM 32 PAUSE 1 "*Freeze frame*"
#CT 4100 STEP 1 "Yep, that’s me."
#CT 4500 ZOOM 2 "You’re probably wondering how\nI got into this situation."
#CT 4750 "You know what?\nLife’s pretty boring."
#CT 5206 "I want a job."
#CT 5207 STEP 1 GPS 5 ]]
x = 7, y = 3, rule = B3/S23
bo$3bo$2o2b3o!
Here's the scenario:
Hi there, I'm a glider, which lives in the CGOL world. Life is pretty boring, so I began to find something interesting!

Nice idea.

There is some new functionality coming in the next build which will allow you to place text labels on the grid. They can be made to appear and disappear at specific generations and zoom levels. Here are some examples.
