This is probably known, but the wiki page for GGG says it's destruction takes 6 gliders. Here's 2:

It is a kind of a log grow (I noticed each cluster of junk is twice as far to the previous each time) but it is also a infinite rake-based grow, that is perturbed by the log-grow... and I am perfectly unable to name it properly... The result is a silhouette of an
isosceles triangle, with a "summit" angle an angle of around 40° (needs confirmation).

Still a linear-growth pattern, because logarithms grow sub-linearly.
As for the interesting part, I heard the name "replicollision" (for a collision that creates identical collisions) being tossed around a few months ago.
