Hmm, well, if people actually start using one of those and understanding each other, then it will need a definition in the Lexicon for sure! I'm not going to just pick one, because I'd choose the wrong one for sure -- but as the discoverer, Kazyan could make an executive decision. For what it's worth, I think "ceni-Snark" damages the original etymology a little more than "semi-cenark".danny wrote:What about ceni-snark?
Yeah, meanwhile it might make sense to use a purely descriptive label. So "CP G0-to-C semi-Snark" (or "CC") in the rare cases when anyone has to specify all of that -- looking up the pattern in the Life Lexicon, mainly, I guess.Kazyan wrote:How about "G0-to-C" or some variant on that?
Mostly just "G0-to-C" (or "semi-cenark" or "ceni-Snark") will be good enough, since obviously people will just pick whichever output color is wanted, thanks to
It's really nice to see those oddball elementary conduits using centuries and suchlike, getting put to good use.calcyman wrote:Impressive! Actually, there's another tiny C --> G, namely your beloved BTS catalyst, which produces a glider of the opposite parity...
The object being cleaned up is a nice simple surplus block for a change, instead of the usual Annoying Beehive. So the input can actually be a G2 or a G1 as well as a G0:

Offhand I'm not seeing a quick win in the gun collection. The new semi-Snark is the same width as the original color-changing semi-Snark, but four cells taller.
However, all these variants mean there are a lot of different possible timings for base loops, if there's a G0, G1, or G2 transmitter that also sends out another signal in a different direction. The only one in the Elementary Conduits Collection is a bit too big, but I haven't checked the H-to-Gn collection yet (nor has it been updated for a good while).
