Greetings all!
I'm a new member, and must say I like this site.
Not only for the great variety of contributions, but
also for the esteemed list of contributors.
My primary interest is in periodic circuitry, and p30 at that.
I've found that if you can conceptualize a mechanism, you can build it.
There's always a way (might not be the way you would like, though).
For my first contribution I offer a Gap 16 reaction and mechanism.
I tried every two glider collision, and hit on this LAST (of course).
It would form a blinker and loaf but for the ongoing bombardment
from the p30 gun.
The simple reaction is at left. At right, a LWSS triggers the gap,
and the output is inverted and treated with a p30 gun w/ p60 reaction,
yielding a burst of 8 gliders at p60.
I've found this very useful in many larger assemblies, and is the smallest
method I've found to achieve this result. Enjoy.
