There is a B-turner eater which makes a banana spark and I want to make a B-turner to H.
I understand the theory, but this isn't specific enough yet. I just tried searching on "B-turner eater" but didn't immediately find the eater you're describing.

Probably I could dig up your reference if I worked hard enough -- but you clearly know where to find this B-turner eater, and you're the one making the request, so it seems like the ball is more in your court to communicate your request clearly. If you include a link to the B-turner eater, then people would easily be able to tell what searches they could run to help solve your problem.

-- Not that they necessarily _will_ run those searches! But they're a lot more likely to do that if you specify the problem clearly, and if you make it look like an interesting problem.

If you just say you "need a banana spark to H", then there are very likely all kinds of possible searches that, even if they gave results, wouldn't actually help solve your problem.

Clearance according to which direction, exactly? There are no conduits with a B-turner output, so the concept of 'clearance' here is vague. For example, if this B-turner came from the north, then we would say this conduit has very high clearance. If it came in any other direction, however, it would have very low clearance. But currently you have no way of making the active region from a well-researched one, so I don't think this 'clearance' problem is meaningful.

B-turner has 3-glider synthesis, but it's not suitable with low clearance conduits, so we'll need to find another way to form it:

Code: Select all

x = 15, y = 13, rule = LifeHistory

There are quite a few octohash results for the B-turner plus various sparks -- found by searching for the various B-turner descendants shown here:

The odds are good that one or more of these could be used to make an engineered something-to-B-turner, but I'm not seeing any lucky options, so engineered solutions would all be really huge and unwieldy. Probably just have to cross fingers and search for converters with direct edgy B-turner outputs.
