Good idea. I've put it on the backlog.

I'll have a think about this one. I don't currently support links in the UI library but I can see it's a helpful addition.

Yes I guess it should respect HistoryFit for bounded grid infinite dimensions.

o!
This has been fixed and will be in the next released build. Thanks for reporting!

The slider for the "none" rule still seems to default to generations, which doesn't make much sense since the slider does nothing. I don't think the slider should be removed from none either, though, since one might want to customise how the none rule looks.

I disabled Themes for the "none" rule because they don't make sense (I just haven't disabled the GUI yet). For "none" you can either use the default colour set or specify custom colours with the COLOR/COLOUR script command.

What did you have in mind? Only smallish patterns would benefit from a larger step unless you have a very fast computer.

While I can't speak for muzik, I know I'd like to see a max step size of 60, or (5!/2).

Code: Select all

x = 81, y = 96, rule = LifeHistory
58.2A$58.2A3$59.2A17.2A$59.2A17.2A3$79.2A$79.2A2$57.A$56.A$56.3A4$27.
A$27.A.A$27.2A21$3.2A$3.2A2.2A$7.2A18$7.2A$7.2A2.2A$11.2A11$2A$2A2.2A
$4.2A18$4.2A$4.2A2.2A$8.2A!

Around 63 or 64 seems reasonable.

127 or 128 would be handy as well, since you could therefore access a step size of 105 (3*5*7)

Can 60/s also be increased to 64/s (or maybe even further than that) to match up with the step counter?

No since it’s limited by the refresh rate.
