Good idea. I've put it on the backlog.Ian07 wrote:Could the "Ctrl+C to copy pattern" thing be put in a more obvious spot, perhaps by "Click to control" when you hover over the viewer? It's such a useful command (especially on the wiki) that it probably shouldn't be buried so far down in the help menu; it took me several months before I even bothered to try it out.

I'll have a think about this one. I don't currently support links in the UI library but I can see it's a helpful addition.muzik wrote:An idea I've had for a while: for rules with aliases, when the T counter in the bottom left is clicked, could the alias text link to the rule's Catagolue page?

Yes I guess it should respect HistoryFit for bounded grid infinite dimensions.Hunting wrote:An old bug:Code: Select all

Re: Pattern viewer for forum threads
The slider for the "none" rule still seems to default to generations, which doesn't make much sense since the slider does nothing. I don't think the slider should be removed from none either, though, since one might want to customise how the none rule looks.

Re: Pattern viewer for forum threads
I disabled Themes for the "none" rule because they don't make sense (I just haven't disabled the GUI yet). For "none" you can either use the default colour set or specify custom colours with the COLOR/COLOUR script command.muzik wrote:The slider for the "none" rule still seems to default to generations, which doesn't make much sense since the slider does nothing. Will step sizes over 50 be supported?

Re: Pattern viewer for forum threads
What did you have in mind? Only smallish patterns would benefit from a larger step unless you have a very fast computer.muzik wrote:Will step sizes over 50 be supported?

While I can't speak for muzik, I know I'd like to see a max step size of 60, or (5!/2).rowett wrote:What did you have in mind? Only smallish patterns would benefit from a larger step unless you have a very fast computer.muzik wrote:Will step sizes over 50 be supported?

Re: Pattern viewer for forum threads
Around 63 or 64 seems reasonable.rowett wrote:What did you have in mind? Only smallish patterns would benefit from a larger step unless you have a very fast computer.muzik wrote:Will step sizes over 50 be supported?
127 or 128 would be handy as well, since you could therefore access a step size of 105 (3*5*7)

Can 60/s also be increased to 64/s (or maybe even further than that) to match up with the step counter?

Re: Pattern viewer for forum threads
No since it’s limited by the refresh rate.muzik wrote:Can 60/s also be increased to 64/s (or maybe even further than that) to match up with the step counter?
