Golly crashes on saving on OS X 10.9

I recently updated my OS to 10.9 and Golly crashes whenever I try to save. I've attached the crash report. Any help would be much appreciated!

Please try this build and let me know if it fixes the crash (try other dialogs as well, like File > Run Script):

The app in this build contains the Perl lib change so no need to run that install_name_tool command.

I'm still running into this. When I download the latest build of Golly, it's able to save a pattern file exactly once. Subsequent saves crash with the attached message. Any ideas?

Ouch, that's serious. Do you see the Save dialog appear before the crash occurs? Do the other modal dialogs in Golly have the same problem when opened a 2nd time? For example, try File > Open Pattern, or Control > Set Generation, or Layer > Set Layer Colors.

Some time in the next few days I plan to build Golly with the latest version of wxWidgets (3.0.1 was recently released) so that might fix the bug.

In the meantime, could you please download Ready 0.6 (for Mac) from http://code.google.com/p/reaction-diffu ... loads/list and see if it has the same problem? Just start up Ready.app and select File > Save Pattern twice.

Minor progress: I've partitioned my Mac's drive so I can boot into 10.9 or 10.6. This lets me duplicate the Save crash with Golly 2.6 on 10.9. The good news is that building Golly with wxMac 3.0.1 seems to fix this crash. The bad news is that I'm now seeing a number of new bugs, most of them cosmetic but some serious, so it's going to take me a few more days (weeks?) to fix those problems. One step forwards, five steps back...

Thanks Andrew. You may not need this information anymore, but I get the crash on File > Open Pattern, and not on Control > Set Generation or Layer > Set Layer Colors. Ready 0.6 doesn't crash.

It should fix the dialog crashes (I haven't seen one on my 10.9.4 system).

Hate to add to the complaint train, but 2.7b3 is giving me trouble, the same as the perl problems before. The install_name_tool command isn't fixing it. I'm on Mac OS X 10.9 trying to recruit more CPU hours for apgsearch.

Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: /System/Library/Perl/5.16/darwin-thread-multi-2level/CORE/libperl.dylib

Reason: image not found

Edit: again, user error.. I'm actually on OS X 10.8, as I found out. School's mac + Windows user = clueless.
