Generations rules do not support B0.

Fixed in the next release. Much thanks for the report! (Very nasty bug indeed -- even managed to crash my Mac.)

Are you asking what sort of algorithm Golly uses for LtL, or are you suggesting it should use one of those algorithms? If the latter then you'll have to describe them in some detail.

But what caused it?

Feature request: Make the autofit center the pattern every tick, rather than every time it exits the screen (like LifeViewer).

Bug report: If the paste box updates while (partially) offscreen, it becomes blank. Tested on 3.0b2.

I can't reproduce this so please provide more details (including a screenshot, if possible). Also, which platform are you using? And please upgrade to 3.0b3 -- there are bugs in 3.0b2 that corrupt memory and so might cause strange problems.

But Golly does. 8) (It also happens to support Generations rules with B0)

I couldn't reproduce this on Golly 3.0b2 Mac. Whenever I paste something it works fine if part of it is offscrean. Does all of the paste box have to be offscrean or does part have to move offscrean while pasting?
Any sufficiently advanced software is indistinguishable from malice.

Golly 3.0b3 does not. Please upgrade.

I've narrowed it down to increasing the size of the copied area too quickly between pastings. Probably should upgrade...
