All of these can be synthesized using the same techniques that are used for smaller pseudo-oscillators and pseudo-still-lifes, except 25 trivial ones that involve adding a small simple still-life to a large complex period 2 oscillator that does not yet have a synthesis (i.e. 8 with a boat on one of three 15-bit oscillators, and 17 with a block on one of ten 16-bit oscillators). These are not included in the list below.

The Queen bee is extremely versatile. It is a shuttle that flips over every 15 generations, leaving a beehive egg, which must be removed; in both cases above, by a block. The Queen bee forms the basis for the first glider gun ever discovered, as well as many oscillators with periods of 30n.

In February 2013, Josh Ball discovered the Loafer, the only known spaceship that moves orthogonally at a velocity of c/7. It moves up one cell every 7 generations. It is remarkable due to its small size, the fact that it is easily synthesized from gliders, and that despite its small population and size, nobody had ever found it before.

The rest of these have a period of 4 and an orthogonal velocity of c/2. They move two cells up every 4 generations.
