258P3 is a period 3 oscillator discovered by Noam Elkies on June 25, 1997.[1] In generation 2 it provides an isolated domino spark which can be used in the creation of higher period oscillators, such as the first known period 33 oscillator, 258P3 on Achim's p11. A related but slightly smaller oscillator was found by Karel Suhajda on January 13, 2003.[2]
