Discussion thread: https://conwaylife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6234 "Still life nomenclature on LifeWiki" |
It has been proposed that this page be moved to Trans snake tie snake due to the following reason: Follow https://conwaylife.com/ref/mniemiec/lifesrch.htm assuming Catagolue names will be changed as well |
The cis-snake-tie is a 12-cell still life.
Construction
This still life is known to be constructible with 6 gliders.[1] Some alternate syntheses can be found in Mark Niemiec's database.[2]

|
Occurrence
Among still lifes with 12 cells, this is the fourth rarest according to Catagolue.
There are no collisions in octohash, octo3obj or octo3g databases with this still life occurring in the ash.
