Seven-eleven is a reaction where a fishhook and elevener (or larger variants) swap places when a block or block-like front touches it. If attached to an oscillator that produces this front, they can swap repeatedly. Matthias Merzenich originally discovered the reaction on December 16, 2015 in 35P12.1; the reaction has since been used in other oscillators such as 76P86 and a specific p60 lumps of muck hassler.
The name comes from the two components having seven cells and eleven cells and 7-Eleven being a convenience store chain based in the united states.
