I'm not too sure if this pattern is non-notable. A lifespan around 7000k is pretty good for a methuselah of this size — it's no Rabbits, but it at least soundly beats Acorn, which is a good start for any mid-size methuselah. Also, I would not be too surprized if an 8-cell ancestor existed. --Tropylium (talk) 15:29, 25 November 2014 (UTC)

Here's an idea.
Methuselahs are an odd-duck category and no one really knows how to classify them for notability. Historical ones life Acorn and record-setters like 7468M, sure, but others...it's a good idea to have them recorded somewhere, but perhaps instead of an individual page for each one, there could be a "List of minor methuselahs" somewhere to put this one, the glider + HWSS reaction in its R + ship form, M11106, and any others that are kind of neat but not really significant. My bad, I ran it again and now I do get 6929. I think it might have been that Golly was simply not at generation 0 when I started measuring it the previous time. 77topaz (talk) 00:13, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

No worries. At least we're extra-sure now that 6929 is in fact correct! Apple Bottom (talk) 12:12, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
