Trans-long boat with tail or up long boat with tail[1] is an 11-cell still life.

Construction

This still life is known to be constructible with 4 gliders.[2] Some known syntheses can be found in Mark Niemiec's database.[1]

Occurrence

See also: List of common still lifes

It is the 97th most common still life on Adam P. Goucher's Catagolue, being less common than very long barge but more common than cis-bun and wing. It is the 9th most common still life with 11 cells, being less common than trans-boat with nine but more common than hungry hat.[3]

The octohash database contains one collision with an occurrence of this still life in the ash.[4]

Isomers

This still life is comprised of the normally stable long boat with a normally unstable tail attached. This is one of two possible isomers, named trans due to the corner part of the boat facing outwards from the tail; the other isomer, cis-long boat with tail, has this corner part tucked inwards.
