Two blockers hassling R-pentomino[1] is a period 72 oscillator. It was the first period 72 oscillator to be found,[2] and was discovered by Robert Wainwright in July 1990.

It is made up of two blockers that hassle two blocks and an R-pentomino. It makes appearances in many large guns such as the gunstars and new gun 2. On January 12, 2016 Tanner Jacobi found a way to replace the blockers with still lifes.[3]
