Capitalisation conventions
The page says that capitalization should, in general, follow regular English rules and that only the first word and proper nouns of a title should be capitalized. I recognize that Wikipedia is the same and that regular English changes. I will try to abide the policy, but, in my opinion, the policy is inappropriate. - The 'Correct' example of capitalization should 'not' contain first person! It says "My favourite pattern is the B-52 bomber". --Scot Ellison 09:58, 9 August 2011 (CDT)
"to be sure that he has read all the information"
something is urging me to replace the he/him pronouns spread out when its refering to no one in particular with gender-neutral pronouns like they/them, or even rephrasing the sentence to not need pronouns at all. tommyaweosme (talk to me my rules) 15:18, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
- if only there were to be an explicitly singular gender-neutral version, like Old English's "thou"-"you" duality (though I guess we could use "they"-"yey," in which case this page would not need to be changed).
I also like the notion of a singular subject-object distinction, "thou"-"thee" alike "I"-"me".DroneBetter (talk) 01:28, 21 April 2024 (UTC)
