I do not know if there is any interest in this, but it would be nice to also have glider synthesis for non-still-life with small populations. There are still a number of still lifes with an at-beehive, simply because other parts of the still life get in the way of the existing at-beehive adders. I doubt there's anything special going on--that's just a non-obvious useful transformation and you happened to be the first to get it. That stabilization does allow for more empty space in the p16 gun, but for the current design, I don't think it helps reduce the overall bounding box.
