Re: Method for finding naturally occurring spaceships?

Anything can be produced when you checked many enough soup, even a undiscovered spaceship will probably be found. But the method of checking the border is dangerous if the soup is large. You can not predict how far it will spread. What it detected as a spaceship might turn out to be a methuselah. To...

Re: a newbie problem

Well, I'm really bad on coding. I'll probably consider a online one.
The links of the JLS all died out.
And I have heard one called WLS, if the W means "web", I would like to try. Online things are more user-friendly to me.

a newbie problem

Could someone recommend some websites or some kind of software that help finding patterns?
And how to operate them.

Re: a small pattern of 3c/11 reaction

A oscillator based on this reaction seems possible with four gun in each direction. But the distance between the two gliders is noticeably close that finding a small gun shooting that way might be hard. while a p22 oscillator has been discovered, and with only 36 cells, this larger one is comparativ...

a small pattern of 3c/11 reaction

This is accidentally discovered while I'm playing around reactions of traffic lights and 2c/7 reactions, but it came to an distinct reaction. Here's the original reaction: x = 16, y = 15, rule = B3/S23 4$7bo$6bobo$5bo3bo$6bobo$7bo$7bo! Then with a simple addition it goes a period further. x = 9, y =...
