Thanks! I'll start working on it when I'm ready. In the meantime, do you have any other features you would like to see added?
You'll regret asking that soon enough.

Would range-2 vN isonontot be a possibility, using the conventional notation?

Re: Cobalt

So there would probably be some sort of button on the menu on the left that says "allow non-isotropic selections". If pressed, and then a transition is pressed, you'd get this window, which would display all 2, 4 or 8 of the transition's variations. Here's how the B4k transition would be laid out, f...

Re: 5S project in Catagolue: can we finally do this thing?

My proposal for layout: all periods would have a dedicated page with a table. The main census page would have a list of natural numbers (integers 1 and up) which correspond to known periods and would when clicked take readers to the table page. I've created an example table layout at this page . For...

Re: Cobalt

Just add a button somewhere that says "allow non-isotropic selections". If active, pressing on one of the transitions would show up to eight buttons in the center of the screen that could be toggled on or off. Sure. Do you have a mockup of what it might look like? I may be able to do something in m...

5S project in Catagolue: can we finally do this thing?

Quoting all involved in the original 2019 conversation, as to give easily readable context on the matter as well as to summon everyone for the discussion's continuation (my apologies in advance to everyone else affected): Absolutely insane crackpot idea: What if Catagolue were to become the host of ...

On the topic of the previous post, after doing a bit of experimentation, I found out that Golly actually does emulate B0 now for general outer-totalistic (2 states). Re: Pattern viewer for forum threads

As can probably be told from the above report I've done a spot of thinking about B0/strobing rules and LifeViewer's support thereof. Currently there's quite a few rules that fall under the scary B0 umbrella that LifeViewer can't or won't simulate, for understandable reasons, but I'd prefer it if the...

Re: Scrap the LtL Formatting already!

A couple of other things on the topic: - Since the format also omits the neighbourhood parameter for Moore, we can frequently save on three more characters through this. - For two-state rules, the canonical setting for the C parameter would be C2, as to be consistent with Generations. This is curren...

Scrap the LtL Formatting already!

2017 was the year in which we finally saw an implementation of the Larger than Life family of rules in Golly, eventually followed at the end of 2018 by LifeViewer. LifeViewer, at around the same time, implemented general outer-totalistic rules with ranges exceeding 1 due to lifelib (and therefore ap...

The [[ STARTFROM ]] command wants the number of generations which are played in the current direction.
For the button under the Pattern menu, shouldn't the popup say "Enter number of generations" rather than "Enter generation"?
