Re: Small Spaceship Syntheses

I tried backtracking the second greyship recipe using the Official Canada Greyship Component Collection, but I could only make it two steps backward before there seem to be weird specialty top-of-the-ship-only recipes to twist things out of the way, that aren't shown in the collection Yeah, the Com...

This is a really impressive construction. One thousand four hundred and twenty-eight congratulations! Thank you! Once we synthesise the next-size-up greyship, I think we should have all the pieces to synthesise arbitrarily large greyships... I'm still not completely sure about this, so I will check...

Re: Small Spaceship Syntheses

Without too much understanding about how syntheses work. I would think smaller is better. But WLS can come up with variants quite easily. What would be a preferable form? Yes, smaller is better. Including recognisable bits such as xWSSs and not being too horizontally thick is also desirable. Other ...

I went ahead and completed the 56P6H1V0 gun:

One of the guns in the quadrant that wwei23 constructed was out of phase by 32 ticks, but fortunately that was easy to fix. There's plenty of room for optimization if someone wants to, but it might be better to leave that to a script.

LifeWiki says that there's no gun for any c/6 spaceship yet. I tried to make one using Goldtiger997's 296-glider synthesis (since the 294-glider synthesis only seems to have an incremental RLE version, and I didn't feel like changing it to a full synthesis RLE), and it's not that hard, just very te...
