Legally you don't need permission to add publicly available information about a person. And morally I wouldn't worry either since the kind of information we want on LifeWiki is unlikely to be sensitive, offensive or harmful. We can always remove information if anyone complains.
I agree

Or add an option to change those transitions randomly (not in order) because there could be zone of adjacent rules with the same hamming distance for the "mother" rule which gives nothing.
That's probably my program's job. I'll release it relatively soon.
Will it be quicker?

Well... It actually took around 3-5 hours to complete The World's Hardest Game (v1) and I did it without skipping any level and continuously playing it until I beat all 30 levels. It is a downloaded game because Flash will not be available soon (you know). Have you played Geometry Dash? I believe i...

Re: Please add more informations about people!

Most articles about people on LifeWiki have almost no information about them. Please try to add more! Have a good day! BokaBB That's actually a good idea! I've also looked at some of the people on LifeWiki and yeah, almost nothing. Someone could fill in those gaps there, but only with the permissio...

Re: epsrc: A program to find 1-cell spaceships in 2-state rules

I want to see the (96,129)c/1498 one, but so far it's just a Discord rumor. It's already here . (Also I posted the p1278 on these forums before I posted it on Discord) Also, I am continually finding more and more higher-period ships as we speak. As I type this, my highest period is p2074 (139,198):...

Re: Random posts

I forgot to announce that yesterday, I beat The World's Hardest Game (1)!!! I challenge you to beat the world's easiest game [Insert any hydra here] Do you even know what game I'm playing? A screenshot from one of the levels: I tried that out too, but never finished it. Now try beating Nine Circles...

Re: epsrc: A program to find 1-cell spaceships in 2-state rules

If you set the hamming distance to 3, does that always mean it will search 512*511*510=133432320 rules? Or rather 510*509*508=131871720? No. Your logic fails to eliminate redundancies. You have 510 places to put the first alteration, and 509 places to put the second. However, 510*509 would mean tha...

We should make an OCSSSP (one-cell-spaceships-supporting-specific-periods) catalog.

Cool program, I found this c/54:

Code: Select all

x = 1, y = 1, rule = MAPhQBMEABAgAAIhACAgAAAAASAgAABAAgAAEAAAACAAAAAgAAAIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Re: epsrc: A program to find 1-cell spaceships in 2-state rules

What do I type in to get really slow ships? I tried typing in epsrc ham 1 MAP -p 10 -m 10 so it gets me only c/10's, but didn't output anything. "ham 1 MAP" means "exhaustively search the alternating rules (ones with B0 and no S8) of Hamming distance 1 from "MAP" (which is shorthand for MAPgAAAAAAA...

Yes, I did compile it and run it, but it does pretty much nothing and I don't know why! What am I doing wrong? Do I have to put what I am looking for in the code itself or something? What did you type in the command line to run the program? Did you at some point type "epsrc help", and did instructi...

All it does is displays the help screen. Ok, stupid question time. So how do I use it? Navigate to the directory where the executable is stored and run it in a command line. That's assuming you know (1) how to run an executable from a command line, (2) where the executable is, (3) how to navigate t...

The program does not take any user input after you begin running it.
All it does is displays the help screen.
