g4_r_0 doesn't seem to work. It can be stabilized ... but where is the r in all this? It works okay -- the R is hiding in plain sight. This is the modification mentioned before (offsetting the pulse divider in the control track by 2 ticks). Probably not the way to go (at least not if you are into randomness) - the beam zaps down suddenly every 23360732 generations, which is exactly the PRNG's period, and a deviation from random beh...

That's not what I meant. Your PRNG has p15240 according to oscar.lua. If I can test it with that script at all, it has too low randomness to count. The drift that you call "infinite growth" is mentioned in my post and is due to a defect in the PRNG, which becomes more pronounced with low randomness....
