Re: Factorio (R3,C2,S2,B3,N+)
My factoriosrc is still in development. Currently it is still slow and lacks many features, but at least it shows that rlifesrc's algorithm does work for Factorio. There isn't a web version yet. In fact, making a GUI is much more complicated than writing the core algorithm. I think I cannot finish i...

Thanks. Is it fixed now? Yes, I can search for (-1,2)c/5 spaceship. But still can't search for c/4 diagonal in MAP. (rule=MAP..., Period=4, dx=1, dy=1, diagonal search order). Re: Beta Reader Thread for Game of Life Textbook
It seems that the proof of Theorem 1.2 (No Thin Gardens of Eden) on page 22 is incomplete. The last sentence of the proof says that: moving the alive cell from A to Y does not affect the evolution of any of the other 3×3 blocks to its right (which can be done via a simple case analysis). But there i...

Re: Hexagonal life
I think it can be proved that (finite) still lifes do not exist. Just consider a living cell on the top row of a still life. Since S34, it must have a living neighbor on the same row, but this would contradict B2 because it is the top row.
