No offense, but this is why you need to start labeling your patterns when you originally post them. Otherwise people are likely to ignore them as they have no idea what the significance is supposed to be.

and I submitted three-glider syntheses for the ship and tub that had two stages instead of one. These probably are in the database; they just haven't been chosen as the default forms of the ship and tub syntheses because Shinjuku's "prefer equally expensive syntheses with more steps" feature seems ...

Re: Thread For Your Useless Discoveries
So I've just happened to only submit syntheses for objects that Catagolue has unrelated bugs with? I suppose so. Unfortunately, the Catagolue submission box, while extremely useful, is still quite rudimentary, and molding syntheses into a form that Catagolue will actually accept does often take con...

Re: Randomly enumerating glider syntheses
@Ian07 would you care to check for new syntheses in 5Glider_stdin before I start committing new hauls? If you're planning on continuing the search, I'd prefer if you did so first. Since the script I use returns every sample soup for an object, and I don't have a good way of filtering out the ones t...

Re: Thread For Your Useless Discoveries
Another examples include that I managed to reduce the glider cost for the period-184 glider gun by synthesizing one of the fishhooks with the two-glider synthesis and a kickback reaction instead of the four-glider pond-based mechanism, Catagolue doesn't support linear growth syntheses at this time....

I made sure that my syntheses were either better than the synthesis that Catagolue showed or for an object that Catagolue did not yet have a synthesis for, and I don't recall caching being a problem for me before. Re: Still Life Synthesis Thread
This reduces the glider cost of a clean BTS to ten. Side note: I'd suggest that you start posting syntheses in incremental form rather than continuous form. Not only does this make them easier for other users to work with, it's also a lot easier to convert an incremental to a continuous rather than...
