How can i help in this project of Smallest Spaceships Supporting Specific Speeds (5s)? Tutorials/Contributing to 5S Thanks. To avoid making multiple posts i should have been more specific. Re: Thread for basic questions
How can i search specifically for spaceships?
What are the easiest software to search for spaceships? Is there a tutorial for that?
Also, i would like to know which rules are intensively searched and which ones are less searched. I could search on a non-totalistic rule that is less searched.

Re: Suggested LifeWiki edits
The confusion in the diagram is between squares 1 to 2: 1. Make sure your displayed name starts with a '@'. 2. Use CPU-Z (win) or Proc /cpuinfo (unix) to find out. First thing i thought: "i don't know what CPU-Z is, i am going to ommit this step". The second thing i thought: "the only arrow that con...

Re: Suggested LifeWiki edits
I used precompiled apgsearch 5.x because the image diagram flow said i should use apgsearch 5.x on windows 10. When i started the software it runs like W10 command prompt. And says exactly that thing. If the apgsearch 5 is outdated, then actualize the wiki page. And say something like: "stop using t...

Re: Catagolue Discussion Thread
About Catagolue. I noticed that when trying to search your own userpage, you can make a typo and the web shows a page either way. For example: https://catagolue.hatsya.com/user/This%20username%20does%20not%20exist for the user "This username does not exist". The web generates userpages for every com...

Re: Introductions
SmoothLife is indeed a different world from B3/S23 and there is no one-to-one correspondence. Discrete cellular automata have abundant possibilities, and are easier both to implement (like in our favourite programs, Golly and LifeViewer — be sure to get a copy of Golly from the link in navbar and p...

I also like ALL CGoL Art, and I am studying NFTs. This is NFT minting week here, so if you are up and running in Etherium, AND have patterns to mint, you should look into it... I don't think i can discover a pattern that is unique. I think other people will discover first so i can't mint any as a d...

Re: I made this
Bedorlan, are you planning to continue with this? I think a good implementation could be to made a menu. The "filter search" is a great tool, but i think if some player wants to put only spaceships, for example, it could be easier if the list has a menu or a "filter by type". Keep up the good work. ...

you won't want to miss further generalizations of Life (for example Higher-range outer-totalistic cellular automaton ), where much more creatures inhabit! Thanks for the welcome. Hi. I have a background on biology and lab technician, i currently work on something related. I don't know enough math to understand most of this. I'm interested in creatures, bestiaries and all types of beings, mythical creatures, aliens, etc. I think cellular automata can be considered collectible...

Re: Lenticular cards of Life oscillators?
I like the idea of lenticulars of oscillators below period 10.
The DIY method looks tedious. There are companies with varied prices for the lenticulars.
