Re: Thread for your speculative elementary conduits
Is there a replacement for the block? Huh. The right side of that bottom catalyst is pretty flexible: there's sufficient room to fit other catalysts or weld. Re: Logic Life Search
LLS's symmetry notation seems incomplete and/or inconsistent. The help says: "p2 RE\ x1" imposes the glide-reflect symmetry of a glider. Based on that, "p1 RO1" should mean "rotates by 90 degrees every generation." Yet that option isn't recognized, and instead triggers the assert on line 271 of lls....

I've spent some time reading the source code of silk and figuring out what's going on in advance.py and advance.hpp. I thought I'd share in case others are interested. Wait, there's only finitely many ways that the exposed highway robber can be destroyed. Can we make a machine that detects the different cases, cleans up the debris in each case, then reassembles the whole chain of highway robbers from scratch? Re: Thread for conduit-making assistance
I don't think that's possible: those catalysts are just too close. The closest thing I can do is getting 1 of the 2 fishhooks to work, at the cost of swapping out the eater 2 for a higher-clearance variant that's less versatile [sample catalysis shown]. But with the usual eater 2, I can't even get 1...
