Re: qfind - a spaceship search program

i was invited to outline a method to halve the lookup tables the idea is basically the same as scourge. instead of storing the whole lookup table for solutions x such that r1 r2 x evolves into r3 , you only store the first L+1 bits, and enforce the first L evolution constraints, and make another loo...

Re: Discord

unrelated, but here's an archive of all messages in the cgol channel, in json format - i've tried formatting it in some better format, to no avail this doesn't include the attachments either, but hopefully this will at least partially alleviate the "being held hostage by discord" thing https://githu...

Re: Apgs3arch 0.0

Here's a version that should work though I haven't tested uploading to Catagolue yet.

It is approximately 60 times slower than the C++ version.

EDIT: The new server is catagolue.hatsya.com, not catagolue.appspot.com.

Re: Spaceship Discussion Thread

The first (2,1)c/6 spaceship found by ikpx2 starting from scratch is Sir Robin, at logical width 34. The spaceship was reported after roughly 2 cpu-years. However, there may be smaller knightships at higher widths.

Re: Credit for patterns discovered by distributed search

PrimeGrid swaps the order of 2 and 3 so we would instead have discoveries ordered as "Charity Engine/OpenScienceGrid, Catagolue et. al., apgsearch by Adam P. Goucher, connection by very", if that is better, I'm fine with both options.

Credit for patterns discovered by distributed search

Hi, I implemented the connection for Charity Engine and OpenScienceGrid to Catagolue. I am writing this in hopes of accurate credit for discoveries made by these systems (and for soup search in general). For discoveries made by distributed systems , such as PrimeGrid or GIMPS , the norm for credits ...
