Re: Human-readable alternative to base64-encoded MAP rulestrings?
Hensel notation has the exact same issues and nobody complains. Your notation seems to add more letters on top of that. Thus it becomes harder to learn. That might be partially compensated, if the notation is supposed to be used mostly by people who already learned Hensel notation. Well, it is mean...

[...] So for example, B3/S236i where S6i only works vertically would be B3/S236iu, Determination but photons only work vertically would be B2audbx3i/S12. [...] The first overall impression is that there are too many letters to remember, and too many special cases to distinguish. Compare and contras...

See my idea and solution in my incubator page - is it a good idea? User:Haycat2009/Incubator/Durnak notation
So for example, B3/S236i where S6i only works vertically would be B3/S236iu, Determination but photons only work vertically would be B2audbx3i/S12.
(Not Durnak-Cole notation)

Re: If the number of neighbors is a decimal
Suppose cells are not born and die instantly, but need to slowly go from 0 to 1 and from 1 to 0. Moreover, the growth time of cells, cell apoptosis time, and the time interval of each round can also be different. Therefore, the number of neighbors may not be an integer, but may be a float ... Is th...

Both, actually. From the outside it’s supposed to look like a standard skyscraper but some of the floors are non-Euclidean and they are bigger on the inside than the outside. If it's really a standard skyscraper, it would immediately collapse as the skyscraper itself is very tall, or maybe never as...

For context, let’s pretend that this is the year 2081. 2 septillion supposedly-asymmetrical soup have been searched and there is one C2_2 soup. That soup evolves into a Goban. Is the Goban natural in that case? No. Neither in Catagolue sense (because there would be no C1 occurrences). Nor in any ot...

Re: Thread for your miscellaneous posts and discussions
What about 32x32 and beyond? All C1 soups are 16x16. If apgsearch accidentally happened to generate a C1 soup that has some kind of symmetry (e.g. a rotationally symmetric 16x16 soup), then it is still C1. Nope. C1 is asymmetrical and by defination has to be. If apgsearch generates a string whose 2...

I meant where cells born via B3a, B3i, B3c, B3e, B3q, B3r, B3y, B3k, B3j, B3p all have different colours That's too complex... A rule like Cgol but where each birth transition causes the cell born to turn into a different colour, one color for each birth transition.
