Re: Issues concerning gun & guntrue submissions on Catagolue - solution discussion thread

I've already written such a script at least for dedensifying a single gun, although it uses LifeLib rather than Golly. It shouldn't be hard to write a shell script to batch-run the list. Sounds good! For the record, I've looked at all of the remaining guns with period above 999 and density over 0.1...

Re: Issues concerning gun & guntrue submissions on Catagolue - solution discussion thread

Uploaded a bunch of new fixes to some of the increasingly few overdensified Bounding Boxes. Is there a way to check which glider gun periods still need fixes?

A 2c/5 orthogonal partial x = 6, y = 3, rule = B3/S23-a5 o2bo$2b3o$b2o2bo! For a second I thought you accidentally posted in a thread intended for CGoL since that exact same 2c/5o tagalong works in CGoL. That being said, is there any spaceship here that supports it? You should do some searching using the B!
A 2c/5 orthogonal partial

Code: Select all

Re: Small Spaceship Syntheses

Not exactly sure where we are on cost right now (159?), but this should lower the cost another 2G (157?). I think (not sure) it's now 155g with the 4g Loaf-block (though I guess your update changes that logic) Anyways, combination of the few new synthesis parts (EDIT: Fixed order. Alas, it is equal...

Completed lobster synthesis (edit: in 186G). (edit 2: corrected a minor mistake in a couple of steps, thanks Chris857) It looks fine, but somehow I could not get incremental-to-continuous.py to process it. The snark's isotopic rulespace is B3/S23 - B34c8/S234c5e6n8, which is 64 rules. How many of these have been proven omniperiodic? B3/S23 is, and B3/S238 is, but what else?
