### Re: B2/S234 - Oscillators and Wickstretchers Galore!

Well this is a very neat rule. you put 0_2k_3-1 instead of 0_2-k_3-1
EDIT: oh apparently it had the wrong name originally, that explains it

### Re: Rainbow (rule mashup)

Ehhh... don't really feel like doing it tonight. Sorry. If you want to take a crack at it, here are the steps I've been using to add a rule: 1. run isotrop.py (you can find it on the forums, do a search), put the rulestring in, and generate a rule file 2. find the rule file (should be in Golly\Rules...

### Re: Rainbow (rule mashup)

How Golly runs B02346/S023 in QuickLife without flashing lights: it alternates between the inverse rule (B1578/S145678) and the upside-down rule (B568/S24568) every generation. You can use two states to simulate this rule in rainbow then. The first state uses B1578/S145678 and maps all cells to the...

A lot of the 2-state RuleLoader rules people post don't change the default color, leaving a much harder-to-see (on my monitor at least) red color instead... Why not just change the default gradient in Prefs > Color to go from yellow to red? (I agree that red is not a good choice for state 1 cells. ...
