Re: "Predator" Rule

I like this rule. Here's a small pattern that produces some interesting objects:

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 4, rule = Predator
3.A$2.A$.A$A!
It's the smallest pattern to explode, I think.

Which version of apgsearch are you using? v1.1?
Yes, I am. Has there been an update? (I can't use apgnano on non-Life.)

My Internet connection turned off last night, so my apgsearch instances didn't haul. Hopefully uploading them all at once won't kill the Catagolue.

In other news, I've been running RandAgar for the past 2 days and have to sift through 17,000 results. Yay.

Also, since Neutronium doesn't die it can easily replace the rotor of any oscillator. Pulsar with neutronium in the stator Neutronium can also be used to replace the stators of unfinished oscillators too, which may help in the creation of more oscillators in regular Life, such as this: x = 7, y = 1...

I was bored, so I created a trivial oscillator composed of smaller oscillators with all periods lower than 57 and excluding 14, 15, 19, 23, 34, 38, 41, 51, and 53. It's beyond useless, it's bulky, and there's a mess at the left where I had some problems making an induction coil. Oh, and it's also in...
