Re: Rules with interesting dynamics

Let me finish the split post first (not enough character) 5. The hidden loop: It's up to you to decide whether there is any loop in this rule... The horizontal/vertical parity is definitely there, but the loop is so transient that it more resembles a local chaos. x = 127, y = 128, rule = B1c2ae3aknq...

Re: Rules with interesting dynamics

It's been quite a while since I last touched CA. And it's marvelous to see what you guys collected here! Extremely fascinated by the crystalline river and the biochemical hazad! I wanted to open a new thread for loops but it seems fit here anyway. This post will mainly focus on the topological loops...

Re: Use Smoothiness to classify rules

Hi mates, To define the gliderness algorithmically still seems to be a very difficult task. Thus I would really appreciate, if you can define gliderness for the following 96 rules. Hopefully this set of knowledge would then confine the definition of gliderness. In other words, this test set should b...

I have recently deploy the algorithm to an online interface. You can query the server in the following format.

Code: Select all

Currently it only supports 2dNTCA rulestr.
