Re: GliderGlut

Suggested names: Left-to-right: Glider (As in GoL), glider with short tail, fat glider, glider with tail, and on the bottom: Fast glider or loaf glider.

EDIT: Loaf glider looks like a jellyfish in Golly, so you can also call it that.

A good program to make complicated cellular automata with?

I want to create a complicated cellular automaton with attraction, repulsion, and random walks, with long distances. Is there a good program for that?

A question

Why didn't Life-like cellular automata get invented much earlier? The rules are incredibly simple, and it doesn't need computers to play.

Re: B2cek3i/S12-ak

Also, the blinker/tub-like object can function as a 90 degrees glider reflector.

Platoon (B2cek3i/S12-ak)

A somewhat distant relative of Just Friends. This is a pretty interesting rule that has replicators spewing gliders everywhere. The "Spewing gliders everywhere" part is a common attribute of its derivatives. It features little platoons of gliders ramming each other, and both the gliders and replicat...

Re: Request a Rule to be "Tamed"

Can you remove the exploding and non-dying aspect of B3/S0245678 while retaining the ladders and the replicator-like growths on them?
