Re: Pi life - rule balanced beetwen stability and expansion
Interesting!Do you have seen FWKnightship's spaceships, puffers and rakes? What do you think,do Pi Life has potential for being Turing - complete?I think that there exists lots of potential ,but the problem is its EXTREME instability. Also, please try to search for some spaceships and oscillators via ...

10 cell pattern that lasted more than 12000 generations
Yes,this is possible! It happened in my Pi life rule(B34c/S234y8). This rule is EXTREMLY long lasting, but still not exploding and stable . Its name comes from fact that Pi - heptomino is a failed puffer, but it can be stabilized into many spaceships, puffers and rakes. Pi is also a number that is fasc...

10 cell pattern that lasted more than 12000 generations
Yes,this is truth! But not in Conway's game of life, but in my rule Pi life(B34c/S234y8). That rule is EXTREMLY long lasting, but is still stable. Its name comes from fact that pi - heptomino is a failed puffer, but can be stabilized into many types of puffers and rakes that are moving in the speed 7c/2...

I am not joking.
Who knows, maybe it will be popular enough to have LifeWiki page. As I know, only non - totalistic rules with that luck are tlife and Snowflakes. Correct me if I am wrong.

Pi puffer life - rule balanced beetwen stability and expansion
This is a rule balanced beetwen stability and expansion. Its rulestring is B34c/S234y8. Its name comes from fact that pi - heptomino is a puffer. Unfortunanely,it is failed puffer. Its trail will go in the direction of it and destroy it: x = 3, y = 3, rule = B34c/S234y8 3o$obo$obo! Number pi also sy...

GeneroLife(2356/3567/4)
This is one my very old rule. It is very interesting. Its name comes from fact that it is Generations rule, but very similar to Conway's game of life. It is relatively simple:most common objects are blocks and barges. However,it also has one very specific object: Small oscillator that I call ,,contra...

FrogLife(B36i/S1c23-acek5k6i8)
Interesting rule. Its name comes from fact that it has similarities with Frogs rule(12/34/3). It also has similarities with Conway's game of life and rule 2×2(B36/S125). It has many oscillators from them, but also some its own objects, such as one interesting spaceship that reflects while it moves and...

Spaceships cannot be phoenices
I heard about this on LifeWiki. Why this happens?Answer might be with some mathematics (I am good in it). Please say why! This do not stands for all rules, but if you can, please add here some almost - phoenices or maybe real ones from some rule as similar to Conway's game of life as possible. Have a g...

ylife(B34y5y/S234y5y)
Very simple, but very interesting rule. Just game of life with some y genes. It has most of the normal objects, but also one explosive oscillator based on stairstep hexomino and one reflectorless rotating oscillator.
I am on phone,so please help me to discover new objects.

Re: Diamonds And Spaceships Rule
When I say pseudo - replicating,I at first think about spaceships that replicate and also create some other object(in this case spaceship). After that they will stop because their parent and son spaceships will protect them from more replicating. Also, vital spaceships are very common and organized a...

B2-ac3acikq4ci5e/S01e2ei3a
This rule has tiny still lifes, many oscillators and some types of spaceships, very complex looking, some shuttles, puffers, and even some infinite growth. It is not impossible that it is Turing-complete (probably not),but is very beautiful. I am relatively new to the forum and I am also doing this from ...

Re: Diamonds And Spaceships Rule
I am not sure, but I think thst this rule has some potential to be Turing machine. Why?Because many patterns are pseudo - replicating(replicating in an odd way and often with creating more material. Vital spaceships,as I call it(because if they survive the beginning, they probably will nevet die, also ...

Re: Diamonds And Spaceships Rule
Fifth one I call ,,vital spaceship" since it cannot die in normal conditions. I think that it may be replicator or quadratic growth, since another copies of special spaceships will start to produce copies of itself if separated. Not sure, but our points of view are not the same.
