Here, I fixed your methuselah. 9bo8boo$8bobo7bo$9boo8bo$18boo22$booo$obbo$oobbo$boobo! Thank you for your effort and dedication. However, I'd argue that that's too contrived to count. Firstly, I am aware I have been rather absent from the CGoL forums lately.
I was wondering, perhaps we could organise some kind of online conference (with any of a number of programs) to discuss recent developments in CGoL. Also future work and possible collaborations.

Re: Life Lessons...?

There are two ways to think about ConwayLife: cell-based and pattern-based. The cell-based approach focuses on the individual cells and whether they're on or off. The individual cells do not move. They merely turn on or off. The pattern-based approach focuses on entire patterns. Unlike the cell-bas...

The closest things you can have are 丆, 乛, 亻 and 冫. But all are typically considered as radicals, not standalone characters. I meant a different Chinese character that turned into only blinkers, not necessarily one that looked like that particular example that IvyX made. Trivial. 一: a line of length...

Re: Fun with Chinese characters

Why, the unusually complicated biang has become a stereotypical Chinese character? Here is a quote from 2013 : Square roots are ugly (being multi-valued when extended to the complex plane), so it’s cleaner and more elegant to eliminate them completely by inventing a new symbol for √(2π). The questi...
