SansDominotlife (B2-a_S2-i34q) generates a huge amount of distinct objects. In the 10147 soups I searched there were a whopping 1376 distinct objects (28088 objects in total), 442 of them p2 oscillators. But no spaceships (why?) Does this qualify? 237/34/3 has this 17832-gen methuselah. x = 6, y = 4, rule = 237/34/3 2A$2.A$3.2A$5.A! Sadly, there are no spaceships, just one oscillator (the p9 star also found in similar rules (unless you count a pattern made up of two of those which interact)) and so far just five still lifes...

On this note, is it possible to design a cellular automata that, say, on odd generations uses B3/S23 and on even ones B4/S23678? It would allow many interesting rules to be used.
