### SkewLife - R2,C2,S2-3,B3,N@22a544

A very strange rule that allows you to simulate 2 life patterns at a time.

This looks like a tub but it's actually a block:

Code: Select all

``````x = 0, y = 0, rule = R2,C2,S2-3,B3,N@22a544
bo\$obo\$bo!``````
Look:
Code: Select all
``````x = 0, y = 0, rule = R2,C2,S2-3,B3,N@22a544
bo\$obo\$bo!
[[ ANGLE 135 ]]``````

Other examples:
Block plus tub:

Code: Select all

``````x = 0, y = 0, rule = R2,C2,S2-3,B3,N@22a544
3o\$obo\$3o!``````
Tub plus pond:
Code: Select all
``````x = 5, y = 5, rule = R2,C2,S2-3,B3,N@22a544
bobo\$2ob2o2\$2ob2o\$bobo!``````
R-pentomino:

Code: Select all

``````x = 3, y = 3, rule = R2,C2,S2-3,B3,N@22a544
3bo\$obo\$bobo!``````
Two beehives:
Code: Select all
``````x = 4, y = 4, rule = R2,C2,S2-3,B3,N@22a544
4o\$o2bo\$o2bo\$4o!``````
Two gliders:

Code: Select all

``````x = 4, y = 4, rule = R2,C2,S2-3,B3,N@22a544
o2bo\$o2bo\$4o\$b2o!``````
Two sparkcoils:
Code: Select all
``````x = 12, y = 12, rule = R2,C2,S2-3,B3,N@22a544
4bo2bo\$3bob2obo2\$bo3b2o3bo\$o3bo2bo3bo\$bobobo2bobo\$bobo2bobobo\$o3bo2bo
3bo\$bo3b2o3bo2\$3bob2obo\$4bo2bo!``````
Two barberpoles:

Code: Select all

``````x = 3, y = 0, rule = R2,C2,S2-3,B3,N@22a544
bo\$3o\$obo\$2bo\$o\$o\$2bo\$2bo\$o\$o\$2bo\$2bo\$o\$o\$2bo\$2bo\$o\$o\$obo\$3o\$bo!``````
Two pseudo-barberpoles:
Code: Select all
``````x = 3, y = 0, rule = R2,C2,S2-3,B3,N@22a544
bo\$3o\$obo2\$bo\$b2o\$o\$o\$2bo\$2bo\$o\$o\$2bo\$2bo\$o\$o\$2bo\$2bo\$2o\$bo2\$obo\$3o\$bo!``````

Code: Select all

o8bo\$bo6bo\$2bo4bo\$3bo2bo\$4b2o\$4b2o\$3bo2bo\$2bo4bo\$bo6bo\$o8bo!``````
Two honeycombs:

Code: Select all

``````x = 6, y = 6, rule = R2,C2,S2-3,B3,N@22a544
6o\$o4bo\$ob2obo\$ob2obo\$o4bo\$6o!``````
Two figureights:
What does that string at the end even mean?
I was so socially awkward in the past and it will haunt me for the rest of my life.
Code: Select all
``````x = 21, y = 5, rule = B3/S23
b2o2bo2b2o2b2o2bobobo\$o3bobobobobobobobobo\$bo2bobob2o2b2o3bo2bo\$2bobob

This really doesn't need a thread. It is just Life, twice. This kind of thing would go better in one of the more general threads, like the LTL thread or the Miscellaneous Discoveries in OCA thread.

Yeah, there's no point investigating this rule, because it is equivalent to life.

Yeah, there's no point investigating this rule, because it is equivalent to life.
It gives a lot of strange things, like this c/2 diagonal spaceship, which is impossible in Life.

Code: Select all

``````x = 6, y = 6, rule = R2,C2,S2-3,B3,N@22a544
5bo\$o\$5bo\$o3bo\$bobo\$2bo!``````
You keep claiming that this rule is different from Life because patterns behaves differently, but every SkewLife discovery can be translated into one or two Life patterns directly and every Life pattern can be translated into SkewLife directly, so exploring SkewLife is exactly the same as exploring Life, thus there's not point exploring SkewLife.
Understand now? (Or are you too young to understand?)
You are too young, immature and full of your own importance to understand how badly you pollute this forum.
As an example, your recent post:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1971&start=1800#p101535
consists of a long unnecessary quotation followed by a single line of pointless drivel.
Not to disagree with you, but nobody's perfect. Then again, you could be a bit nicer as well, especially to the younger members of the forum.
Alright, maybe not. Maybe this is the definition of bprentice. I wouldn't know.
Hey can someone merge this thread to the HROT or MDiOCA threads? We have enough unproductive OCA threads.
Do you ever understand the word "joke", old person? And that quote is not long at all. Namely, three patterns and a sentence.
"badly pollute this forum" is actually a very accurate description of your behaviour. You keep claiming "younger members of this forum" and people who disagree with you are "harmful to this forum". (In the latter sense you are similar to Parcly Taxel.) But as long as they don't insult people and cause clutter everywhere (like you!) everything else is perfectly allowed.
There is already far to much pollution generated by our younger members.
It is perhaps offensive to discriminate against a noticeable portion of our community that in fact do contribute to cellular automaton. On the other hand, I think that your "Partitioned Cellular Automata" thread is pollution from your daily double - triple - quadruple - quintuple posting, but I do not openly voice that until now.
EDIT: This is literally why I want dislike buttons.
This forum should be entirely devoted to the discussion of cellular automata.
No forum wholly accomplished that. Furthermore, how do like buttons and bounties diverge from cellular automata?
