Nothing else -- you just need a different pattern. The ship is actually 2c/94 orthogonal:

_zM's pattern must have been copied at an odd generation count, so the simulated odd-generations rule would have to be run first -- and when you paste in a new pattern, the simulated even-generations rule runs first. (This is the flicker-prevention workaround for B0 rules, and yes, it has strange side effects like this.)

As it happens, you can get the original pattern to work by running it till it dies, pasting the same pattern in again (at T=49), and running again...!
