This is not a rule I created, you probably already knew that too. this rule sustains the cgol glider, but is explosive; the things inside the solidified areas is what is interesting:

It's easy to create a stable boundary, just generate a filled rectangle and add 1-cell extensions every 1 or 2 cells:

however, there are some natural results that become unnatural and some normally unnatural results that become natural. :/
