rule-specific c/5

Code: Select all

snip
It also work in DryLife and in 3 other life-like rules:

Code: Select all

x = 16, y = 46, rule = B378/S238

Wow, ok, I forgot about this rule and ship. Back then I didn't even think about the concept of endemic patterns, by rule-specific back then I meant that it didn't work in regular B3/S23 Life.

There is a problem. One my rule is also called Pi Life. What to do now?Can you change its name?
My rule's rulestring is B34c/S234y8. I want to use that nsne sime my one deserves it more.
Have a good day!

BokaBB
I strongly suggest you to change the name because that was made earlier.
^
Don't create a hassle, just name your rule PiLife2
Asking someone else to change the name of their rule is like saying, "I named my rule Life as well! CHANGE LIFE'S NAME NOW"
It creates unnecessary hassles

Played around with n×1 lines and a line of 74 produced this pattern evolving into two carriers:

Code: Select all

x = 28, y = 10, rule = B37e/S23
2o24b2o$2o24b2o$4b2ob3o8b3ob2o$4b2o16b2o2$10b3o2b3o3$13b2o$13b2o!
Edit: A line of 82 produces a tumbler from a predecessor that also works in Life:

Code: Select all

x = 6, y = 11, rule = B37e/S23
bo2$2o$2o3bo$3b2o2$3b2o$2o3bo$2o2$bo!
Edit: A line of 28 emits puffers not once, but twice:

Code: Select all

x = 28, y = 1, rule = B37e/S23
28o!
and a line of 34 emits a different puffer:

Code: Select all

x = 34, y = 1, rule = B37e/S23
34o!
but no other lines up to 150 exhibit infinite growth.
