Wow, you are the second one to be interested in this rule these days after the lovely determined FWKnightship. The only one who possibly minds is of course the author Hunting/Ultimium but he has not been active recently, and I believe he will happily accept help in documentation.

I'm probably not the second; for a while I was one of many people who were fascinated with OCA but didn't have a forum account.

EDIT: Added some stuff to the "Spaceships" section.

EDIT2: Added to the "Oscillators" section; can someone fix the code for those? I have to go to bed

EDIT3: Thanks to whoever fixed the oscillators. Created subpages for HighLeapLife, DryLeapLife, LispLife, and tdryleaplife (just because it had been studied a lot), and included links to the Catagolue pages. Also added a link to the LeapLife Status Report.

I'm still interest in this rule (and also the related Vessel Life), but mostly with regards to glider syntheses, and/or small objects, especially ones that look like they might be amenable to glider synthesis.

Did you find the P20 by hand? Or was it from a soup? I couldn't find it listed in Catagolue.
The p5 was found pretty early AFAIK; it’s one of the “fabulous fountains” in the LeapLife status report. The p20 I found by hand when I noticed the object in the middle was a failed oscillator.

These were previously known:
#1: P10, #3: P6 hassling boat, #4: two pairs of siamese carriers, #5: curl siamese long bookend,

No, it just makes it output messages like “Rare oscillator found” or “Rare spaceship found”, and does not affect the search.
